(Yes yes yes! I’m so happy that rose in skincare is having a moment.

Using rose water either as a mist spray or in toner form smoothed over my face every morning has helped even out my skin tone and help my cheeks and neck appear less red when my skin is being annoyingly sensitive and reacting to everything… I know it’s weird to think about because when we think of roses we think of reds and pinks but it really does help trust me.

The natural oils found in rose petals help to soften and hydrate your skin (so your face can feel smooth as petals🌹) rose also has anti-inflammatory properties as well as anti-bacterial and a source of vitamin A and C. Pure rosehip oil is also great to use during winter as the fatty acids help plump and hydrate your skin quickly - used regularly it can reduce uneven skin tone for glowing skin…

There are a lot of rose ‘toners’ out there that look great but I like to stick to pure rose water applied generously to my face after cleansing each morning. Always check the ingredient label.

Some other rose skincare products I like:

9 wishes rose essence serum (I need to buy a new one, was great to use as an extra moisture step during winter)

Mario Badescu rose spray (Good for keeping dewy throughout the day, also comes in travel size for your purse)

The body shop rose petal mask

Pixi rose caviar (an indulgent impulse buy, again great for winter skin)

Thayer’s rose and witch hazel toner (sorts your pores out let me tell you)

I’m also thinking about going v indulgent on a pot of By Terry’s baume de rose soon……
